Our Story
We became the stewards of Three Sisters Farm in 2021, purchasing it directly from the great-great-granddaughter of the man who built it.
The generational care put into the property was visible in every corner, and the family’s greatest hope was to pass it to someone who would cherish it just as they had.
For us, it felt like finding a unicorn. We had been searching for a home on the Maine coast for fifteen years. Mia grew up on a farm in nearby Morrill, and Steve grew up sailing the Connecticut shore, so our shared dream was an old farmhouse on the water. When we finally turned down the drive in Friendship, we knew we were home.
Three Sisters Farm is that rare kind of place—one that preserves the treasured bones of a historic New England homestead while offering the modern comforts of a space genuinely, lovingly prepared for guests. Outside, the weathered exterior and wide fields open onto a spruce forest on one side and a tidal cove just a short walk down the road. Inside, wide-plank floors and original millwork sit alongside Le Creuset cookware, Riedel wine glasses, and a Peloton in the barn.
It was that same love for Midcoast Maine that eventually led us to High Street House in Camden, a historic Greek Revival that felt like the natural counterpart to the farm.
Camden had always held a special magic for us. Growing up nearby, Mia always viewed trips to Camden as an occasion—a place you hoped to go, a little celebratory and a little rare. It was also the town we returned to for our first trip as a newly blended family, and it held a quiet, lifelong dream for Mia’s mother to one day call it home (a dream she now gets to live when she stays here). We found ourselves drawn back again and again to the harbor, the light, and the quiet beauty of High Street.
Where the Farm offers a sense of rustic, expansive freedom, High Street House offers a sense of refined presence and occasion. Set among the grand homes of Camden, it is a house shaped by its history but deeply comfortable and welcoming. There is a feeling here that is difficult to name but easy to recognize: something settled, enduring, and quietly special.
Today, Three Sisters Collection represents both sides of the Maine we love.
Whether you are looking to slow down by the tidal coves of Friendship or walk to the harbor in the heart of Camden, both homes invite you to arrive, settle in, and become part of a story that lingers long after you leave.
We are a big, blended family with older children and two younger girls.
One of the things we love most about both houses is that they hold everyone easily. At the farm there is room to be together and room to spread out — the barn, the swing, the ping-pong table, the woods behind the house have been the backdrop for more good days than we can count. Camden has been its own discovery, particularly as the kids have grown into it. They sail out of the harbor in summer, ski the Snow Bowl in winter, and walk into town on their own now, in a way that feels like a small milestone every time.
